Roof Trim Molding, Removing And Installing

- Remove side window.
B-pillar trim, removing and installing. [1][2]Procedures
- Remove door seals in area of roof trim molding.

Removing:







- Pry cover strip -2- out of roof trim molding -1-.
- Drill off rivets -3- and remove roof trim molding -1-.

Installing:
B-pillar trim, removing and installing. [1][2]Procedures
A - 0.2 + 0.5 mm
B - 2.5 + 0.5 mm
C - 1.5 + 0.5 mm
These dimensions must be strictly observed.







- Rivet roof trim molding -1- at arrows first (for centering).
- From there, rivet tight towards front and rear.
- Use special tool VAG1617B to install rivets.


NOTE: If paint is damaged while drilling off a rivet, this should be repaired immediately If necessary anti-corrosion measures should be taken.


- Snap cover strip -2- on from front to back.
