Rear Brake Caliper
1. Self-locking bolt
^ Always replace
^ 35 Nm (26 ft. lbs.)
^ Counter-hold guide pin when loosening and tightening
2. Brake caliper housing with parking brake cable lever
^ Replace if leaking at parking brake cable lever
^ Pre-bleed caliper housing after repairing
3. Bleeder screw
4. Dust cap
^ Install onto bleeder screw
5. Seal
^ Remove using 3409 wedge
6. Piston with automatic adjustment
^ Screwing out of brake caliper housing
^ Screwing into brake caliper housing
7. Guide pins
^ Grease before pulling on protective cap
8. Protective seal
^ Install so that outer sealing lip goes over piston
^ Install so that inner sealing lip enters groove in brake caliper housing
9. Protective cap
^ Install onto brake carrier and guide pin
10. Brake carrier with guide pin and protective cap
^ Supplied as replacement parts assembled and with sufficient grease on guide pins
^ If protective caps or guide pins are damaged, install repair kit
^ Use grease sachet supplied to lubricate guide pins
