- If no signal for the "ignition off" period is detected by the A/C Control Head -E87- when the ignition is switched on (the signal comes from the instrument cluster), the A/C Control Head -E87- assumes that the vehicle has been left standing for more than 4 hours, and the engine temperature is assumed to be identical to the ambient temperature. If the system is in heating mode, there may be a delay before the fresh air blower switches on, even though the engine is warm. The outside air temperature display -G106- in the instrument cluster may also display incorrect ambient temperature values. [1][2]Measuring Value Blocks (Function 08)
- If the two displays of the A/C control head -E87- do not light up when the ignition is switched on, restore voltage supply to terminal 58d (dimming) for -E87- according to wiring diagram,

- From model year 2002 the A/C Control Head -E87- switches automatically to "Econ" operating mode, if the basic setting has not been carried out after replacing -E87-, or the measured pressure of High Pressure Sensor -G65- is too low or too high (compressor should not be switched on) See Read measuring value block for vehicles from model year 2002,See (display group 001).
