Locking Mechanisms, Removing And Installing
Locking mechanism, at right
1 - Locking mechanism
Removing
- Remove mounting nut -2-.
- Warm bolts -3- (2x) using a hot air gun.
- Remove bolts -3- (2x) from both sides simultaneously.
- Disengage locking mechanism -1-.
Installing
- When engaging locking mechanism -1-, be sure that end of spring -4- is engaged behind crossbar -5- and metal guide -6- is engaged in bracket -7-.
- Secure bolts -3- using D00600A2 locking compound.
- Rest of installation is the reverse of removal.

3 - Bolts, glued
- Tightening torque: 20 Nm (15 ft lb)
- Secured with D00600A2 locking compound.

1 - Locking mechanism
Removing
- Warm bolts -2- (2x) using a hot air gun.
- Remove bolts -2- (2x) from both sides simultaneously.
- Remove crossbar -3- toward front.
- Slide locking mechanism -1- downward to side of crossbar -3-.
Installing
- Slide locking mechanism -1- onto crossbar -3- from side.
- When engaging crossbar -3-, be sure that guide -4- is engaged at end of spring -5- behind crossbar -6-.
- Secure bolts -2- using D00600A2 locking compound.
- Rest of installation is the reverse of removal.

- Tightening torque: 20 Nm (15 ft lb)
- Secured with D00600A2 locking compound.
