Evaporative Emission (EVAP) System, Overview




WARNING! Fire Hazard! Do not smoke, work near heaters or have anything in the area that could ignite the fuel or fumes.





1 - Cap nut
- 10 Nm (7 ft lb)
2 - Cover
- For EVAP canister
3 - Screw
- 15 Nm (11 ft lb)
4 - Seal
5 - Vent line
- To Evaporative Emission (EVAP) canister purge regulator valve -N80-
6 - Vent line
- From gravity valve at fuel tank
7 - Vacuum line
- Leak Detection Pump (LDP) to throttle valve control module
8 - Tie wraps
- To secure vacuum line to bracket of Leak Detection Pump (LDP)
9 - Leak Detection Pump (LDP) -V144-
- Located in back of left-rear wheelhousing, behind wheelhousing liner
10 - Harness connector
- Black
- 3-pin
11 - Hose
- LDP to EVAP canister
- Pressure side
- To disconnect, release clip at LDP connection
12 - 10 Nm (7 ft lb)
13 - Air cleaner
- For LDP
14 - Seal
15 - Tie wrap
- To secure hose to wheel well
16 - Evaporative Emissions (EVAP) canister
- Location: in bottom of spare wheel well, under vehicle
