Fuel Filler Neck Details
1 - Fuel filler neck
- With expansion chamber
2 - L-connector
3 - O-Ring
- Always replace
4 - Gravity valve
- Not available as replacement part
- To remove unsnap valve and pull from filler neck
Checking operation:
- Valve upright: open
- Valve turned 45° from vertical: closed
5 - Tank protection valve
- Mounted to fuel filler neck
- Ventilates tank to equalize pressure
6 - Seal
- Installation position: sealing lip faces fuel filler neck
7 - O-Rings
- Various sizes
- Always replace
8 - Hose coupling
- To remove, press down on release tab
9 - Vent valve
10 - Hose coupling
- To remove, press down on release tab
11 - Ground wire
- Make sure that both terminals have good electrical contact
- Mount terminal with bolt for fuel filler neck.
- After installing, measure resistance using multimeter (Fluke 83 or equivalent) between metal ring of fuel filler neck and bare metal part of body. Specified value: approx. 0 Ohms
