Owner Letter

August 1998

Subject:
Service Action Program KQ

Dear Audi Owner:

We are writing to inform you of a potential problem concerning the driver's side power seat in some 1998 model Audi A6 Sedan vehicles. Our records show that you are the owner of one of the vehicles affected.

Problem Description

The seat memory logic for the driver's seat position may not function upon using the automatic seat adjustment feature (remote key/seat memory) prior to entering the vehicle.

Remedy

Audi has developed an improved seat memory control unit. Your Audi dealer will replace the memory control unit in your vehicle with the new modified unit.

What You Need To Do

Please contact the Service Department of your authorized Audi dealer and schedule an appointment for this work to be done as soon as possible. The required work will, of course, be free of charge.

Lease Vehicle

If the vehicle identified in this service action is a leased vehicle and you, the lessor and registered owner receive this notice, please forward this information by first class mail to the lessee.

We regret any inconvenience this matter may cause you. However, we want to make sure that your vehicle performs to your satisfaction and therefore ask you to have this work performed as soon as possible.

Thank you for driving an Audi.
