1 - Seat cover

Removing
- Remove seat.
- Remove backrest.
- Remove drawer frame.
- Unclip harness connector - 2 - for seat heating element from holder (1x).
- Pry fabric fastening strip out of guide slot.
- Lift seat cover fabric - 1 - and cut through upholstery clips (inset - A -).
- Remove padding.

Installing
- Use VAG 1634 stapling tool to install new upholstery clips.







- To ease assembly, push back longitudinal rods as far as first transverse rod.
- When installing, staple transverse rods first, then longitudinal rods.

NOTE:
- Securing channels in cushions are deeper on the new (2-piece) cushions.
- When using seat covers with old installing specifications on new (2-piece) cushions, a chain must be formed with 2 cushion clamps and inserted at each securing point in the deeper securing channels.







5 - Seat heating element
- On vehicles with sewn-in seat heating element, heating element and seat cover must be replaced together.
- On vehicles with side airbag and sensor mat, the heated seat is only available as a replacement part together with the sensor mat and seat padding.
- Removing and installing seat heating element on vehicles with heating element inserted in seat cover..
- Removing and installing heated seat on vehicles without seat occupied sensor and with glued heating element.

6 - Seat pan
