NOTE: The DTCs indicated are only updated when initiating On Board Diagnostic (OBD) or with "Erasing DTC Memory" function 05.


- Switch printer on by pressing PRINT button (indicator light in button comes on).

The number of stored Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) is shown on the display.

X DTC recognized ->


Stored DTCs are displayed in sequence and printed out one after another.

- Repair malfunctions printed out according to DTC Table. Automatic Headlight Aim Control

If "No DTC recognized" is shown on display


No DTC recognized ->


- Press -> button to return VAG 1551 scan tool to "Select function XX" mode.

- Press buttons -0- and -6- to select "End Output" function 06.
- Switch ignition off.
- Disconnect VAG 1551 scan tool from DLC.
