Antenna, Navigation: Service and Repair

The antenna is secured on the trunk lid.

Removing
- First remove trunk lid trim.


NOTE: Before removing antenna, attach a helping wire/string (approximately 1 meter in length) to the end of the antenna wire, and then pull out the antenna wire to the antenna hole.







- Unscrew antenna thread -1- at trunk lid -2-.







- Carefully remove antenna wire -1- from left sheet metal opening in trunk lid -2-.
- Slide foam trim -3- of harness connector sideways and disconnect harness connector -4-.
- Carefully remove antenna upward and pull out antenna wire through antenna hole.

Installing
- Install in reverse order of removal.


NOTE:
- The primed antenna for navigation must be painted in the appropriate vehicle color before installation.
- For installation, pull new antenna wire into trunk lid with help from the helping wire/rope.
- When replacing the control module, make sure to send in the completed "form for navigation system complaint" with faulty component.
