II - Door Component Carrier, Adjusting
NOTE: To adjust the tilt of the door around the B-pillar, shift the adjusting plate. If the rear portion of the door (e.g. at the bottom) sticks out too much, the adjusting plate must be shifted upward. This will tilt the bottom of the door toward the car interior, and the top of the door outward.
- Door shell adjusted
- Adjusting plate - 4 - installed.
- Loosen screws - 3 - (arrows).
- Close door.
- While second technician pushes door component carrier against roof and B-pillar (carrier must be pushed slightly beyond desired position due to return force of rubber seal), lightly tighten upper screws from inside.
- Push adjustment plate - 4 - upward until it contacts surface of door shell - 2 - and door component carrier - 1 -.
Tightening torque: 30 Nm (22 ft.lb.)

- Outer seal lip - 3 - must be flush with pillar and roof trim molding -2.
- Dimension a = 2.5 ± 1 mm and is the gap between the roof trim molding and the door window glass - 3 -.
