Rear Seatback (sport Seat), Removing And Installing

- VAS 1978

Removing

CAUTION: Note safety measures when working on airbag

- Remove front seat.
- Remove outer trim for seat frame.







- Pull trim for seatback hinge - 1 - carefully in direction of arrow - A -, simultaneously slide upward in direction of (arrow - B -) and remove.
- Unclip trim - 2 -.







- Remove electrical wiring - 2 - and - 3 - from connector - 4 -.
- Disconnect electrical wire - 1 -.
- Pull out connecting wire - 5 - with VAS1978 from connector housing - 6 -.
- Remove wiring from seat frame.







- Remove bolts - 1 - (left and right).
- Remove rear seat bench.

Installing
Installation is done in reverse sequence, noting the following:

CAUTION: For vehicles with side airbag, note instructions for seat installation.
