Rear Occupied Seat Sensor, Removing And Installing

Removing
- Remove rear seat bench.







- Cut through tie wrap for wiring 2-pin connector - 2 - (left and right) and disconnect from grille frame.
1 - Seat cover
3 - Connector for seat heater
4 - Connector for rear seatback







- Remove cover - 2 - for rear seat left and right.
- Separate sensor mat - 3 - from cushion - 1 - carefully at locations identified with arrows.
- Remove electrical wiring from opening - 4 -.

Installing
Installation is done in reverse sequence, noting the following:

CAUTION: Sensor mat must not be creased, otherwise mat will malfunction.







- Position sensor mat- 3 - without folds or bends at adhesive location (arrows) on cushion - 1 -.
- Install electrical wiring in opening - 4 -.
- Slide sensor mat at - 5 - in folds.

NOTE: When installing cover - 2 - for rear seat bench, be careful that the sensor mat at - 5 - are not damaged.

- After installation, check function of sensor mat.
