Front Wheel Bearing Housing (Wheel Bearing Pressed In), Servicing
1 - Wheel bearing housing
^ Removing and installing, Refer to Axle/Hub Carrier, Service and Repair.
Note: For wheel bearings with 85 mm or 82mm outside diameter, installation of 85 mm diameter on left side and 82 mm diameter on right side (for example) is permissible.
2 - Wheel bearing
^ Always replace
^ Installation position: Large internal diameter of wheel bearing should face wheel hub
^ Pressing out, Refer to Fig. 2
^ Pressing out bearing inner race, Refer to Fig. 3
^ Pressing in, Refer to Fig. 4
3 - Hub
^ Stepped design
^ Pressing out, Refer to Fig. 1
^ Pressing in, Refer to Fig. 5
4 - Hex bolt, 10 Nm (7 ft. lbs.)
5 - Splash plate
6 - Speed sensor
^ Pullout to remove
^ Before inserting sensor, clean installation hole inner surface and coat with lubricating paste G 000650
^ Routing of wiring, Refer to Suspension Strut, Service and Repair.
7 - Sleeve
^ Before inserting in wheel bearing housing, grease thoroughly with brake cylinder paste G 000650
^ Press home in wheel bearing housing

Only use puller with leg clamp e.g. Kukko 204-1 (commercial type).

Use 3124 thrust pad for wheel bearings with outer 82 mm and 3062 thrust pad for outer 85 mm.
Note: Large internal diameter of wheel bearing faces wheel hub
^ Press wheel bearing -A- in to stop.
