Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Table

Notes:
- Every malfunction that can be detected by the system has a 5-digit Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC), which is listed in the left-hand column of the DTC table. The message identifying the malfunction and the DTC is printed out by the VAG 1551 Scan Tool (ST) if the printer has been switched on by pressing the "PRINT" button. Otherwise, DTCs are not displayed by the scan tool.
- The contents of DTC memory remain stored until the memory is erased. Erase DTC Memory
- "Sporadic" malfunctions are identified by "/SP" appearing on the right-hand side of the scan tool display.
- Static malfunctions that cannot be detected when the vehicle is stationary are also identified with "/SP" if the ignition has been switched off and then on again.
- The following table includes all the DTCs that can be stored by the ABS control module -J104- and displayed and printed by the VAG 1551 scan tool. Malfunctions are listed according to the DTC number.
