Torque Tube, Disassembling

- Clamp torque tube in vise with protective vise jaw covers.





- Remove sleeve with -A- three-armed extractor, e.g. Kukko 45/2.
- Remove transmission support.





- Remove lock ring -A-.
- Thread M8 bolt in bore of cap -B- and remove cap.





- Expand lock ring -arrow- on flange shaft and remove from groove.





- Remove flange shaft with VW771 and VW 771/15.





- Pry out seal.





- Remove lock ring.





- Remove flange shaft bearing with -A- , internal extractor, e.g. Kukko 21.5, 30-37 mm.

Note:
Bearing is destroyed during removal

Only if backing plate is damaged:
- Press out with flange shaft.





- Drive in backing plate -A- as far as possible when replacing
