Assembly Overview
1 - Sunroof
2 - Sliding headliner
3 - Rain channel
- Detach sliding roof panel before removing
- Press clips forward to open. Lift rain channel up and out Fig. 3.
4 - Link guide
- Cannot be removed until molded headliner is removed
5 - Guide hook
- Removed together with link guide
6 - Lower trim
- Removing and installing Fig. 2.
7 - Rear guide
- Removed together with link guide
8 - Front guide
- Removed together with link guide
9 - Wind deflector
- Removing and installing Fig. 2.
10 - Recessed screw
- Microencapsulated: use new screws when installing
- Clean threads with drill before assembling
- 3.5 Nm + 0.5 Nm (31 in.lb + 4 in.lb)
11 - Sliding roof motor
- Sliding roof motor casing must be removed at molded headliner before removing motor
12 - Frame
- Detach headliner before removing
- Removing and installing Fig. 1.
13 - Clip
- No replacement part available
14 - Trim

- No replacement part available

- Molded headliner must be detached before removing frame - 2 -.
- Remove drain hoses from frame.
- Remove hex nuts - 1 - and frame.
- When installing, orient frame toward reinforcement frame.
- Tighten nuts - 1 - to 8 Nm (71 in.lb) starting at front center.

- Tilt sunroof open.
- Unclip trim - 2 - toward roof center, slide forward out of slot and remove.
- Unclip front and center of trim - 1 - and remove in direction of arrow.

- Remove sunroof panel.
- Press clips - 1 - forward to open. Lift rain channel - 2 - up and out.
- To install, insert rain channel in direction of arrow and press into clips at front.
CAUTION: When the rain channel is removed, do not allow sliding roof to move back into roof. The retaining clips for the rain channel would otherwise catch in the roof bow making it difficult to close sunroof.

- Open sunroof.
- To remove from guide, push wind deflector - 1 - down simultaneously on both sides in direction of arrow.
- Remove wind deflector.
- When installing, wind deflector must be snapped completely into guide.
