Customer requests that specific remote/central locking functions be "activated".
Service
Review optional control module coding below with customer to confirm the desired function changes. Input codings into central locking control module using function 07, "Code control module".

Optional Control Module Coding
In addition to basic coding, it is possible customers may request the following option:
^ Vehicle locks automatically upon reaching a speed of about 15 km/h (10 mph) and unlocks when key is removed from ignition.
Example of carrying out "Code Control Module" function O7
- Connect VAG 1551/1552 to Data Link Connector (DLC) and advance to "Rapid data transfer".

- Press buttons -3- and -5- to insert "Central Locking" address word 35.

- Press button.

- Press buttons -0- and -7- to select "Code Control Module", function 07.

- Press -Q- button to confirm input.

- Enter control module coding using key pad as indicated by coding table.

- Press -Q- button to confirm input.
Indicated on display after approx. 5 seconds:
Display shows control module identification and coding that has been entered (16172).
- Press --> button.

- Press buttons -0- and -6- to select "End Output", function 06.

- Disconnect VAG 1551/1552 from Data Link Connector (DLC)

Re-coding of Central Locking Control Module is covered by warranty ONE TIME ONLY on each vehicle. Subsequent re-coding is not covered by warranty and may not be claimed as such.
