Customer states shift lever lacking detent when shifting into reverse.

Production

Beginning with VIN: 8D_XA279820 to engage reverse gear, it is no longer necessary to depress the shift lever downward first. The gear shift lever will slide from neutral directly into reverse.

Note:
A mechanical safeguard has been incorporated to prevent inadvertent shifting from fifth gear into reverse gear. Shifting into reverse gear can only be done when the shifter is in the neutral position.
