Steering Gear, Assembly Overview








1. Bolts
^ 65 Nm (48 ft. lbs.)
2. Sealing boot
^ Check for tears and chafing
3. Eccentric bolt
^ Torx(R) (T50)
^ Turn clockwise to loosen
^ Turn counterclockwise to tighten
4. Steering column
5. Self-locking nut
^ Always replace
^ 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.)
6. Combo-bolt
^ 5 Nm (44 inch lbs.)
^ For adjusting toe-in curve
7. Bolt

^ 10 Nm (7 ft. lbs.)
^ To loosen and tighten, counter hold on steering damper piston rod hex
