Output Diagnostic Test Mode (Function 03)


NOTE:
- Start by switching off ignition; re-start V.A.G 1551 if necessary.
- Output Diagnostic Test Mode can only be performed with vehicle stationary and engine stopped.
- If Output Diagnostic Test Mode detects a fault, locate and eliminate cause of problem if necessary.


The following control elements are consecutively actuated in the test:
- Actuation of hazard warning lights
- Actuation of interior monitor (actuated even if there is no interior monitor fitted)
- Actuation of hazard warning lights and interior lighting for checking crash signal
- Actuation of central locking warning lamp (cannot be seen)
- Triggering of close central locking function
- Activation of door lock isolation
- Actuation of open central locking function

Implementing function "03 - Output Diagnostic Test Mode"

- Press keys 0 and 3.

Activate interior monitor

Central locking control module transmits a signal for activating interior monitor.


NOTE: Following activation of interior monitor, the system requires a waiting time of 30 s. On alarm triggering, an entry is then made in the DTC Memory (1370; alarm via interior monitor).
