Wheel Hub: Locations



Rear Wheel Bearing/Hub Unit (Front-Wheel Drive Vehicles)

WARNING:
^ Do not re-use fasteners that are worn or deformed in normal use.
^ Some fasteners are designed to be used only once, and are unreliable and may fail if used a second time. This includes, but is not limited to, nuts, bolts, washers, circlips and cotter pins. Always follow recommendations-replace these fasteners with new parts where indicated, and any other time it is deemed necessary by inspection.

The wheel bearing and wheel hub are installed together in a housing.
This wheel bearing/hub unit is maintenance and adjustment free. Adjusting and servicing is not possible.





1. Self-locking bolt
^ Always replace
^ 35 Nm (26 ft. lbs.)
^ When loosening and tightening counter-hold on guide pin
2. Brake caliper
3. Socket-head bolts
^ 60 Nm (44 ft. lbs.)
4. Brake disc
5. Socket-head bolts
^ 60 Nm (44 ft. lbs.)
6. Wheel bearing/hub unit
^ When installing new wheel bearing/hub unit, ABS wheel speed sensor -9- must also be replaced
7. Backing plate
8. Axle beam
9. ABS wheel speed sensor
^ Refer to Removing and installing.
^ Must be replaced when installing new wheel bearing/hub unit -6-
^ Always replace seal and lubricate with brake cylinder paste
