Seatback Cover And Seatback Cushion, Removing And Installing

Removing

CAUTION: Note safety specifications when working on airbag.

- Remove rear seat bench.
- Remove seatback.
- Remove headrest.
- Remove headrest guides.
- Unhook rear armrest.







- Hang hook strip - 2 - all around seatback frame - 3 -.
- Push cover - 1 - forward.







- Remove bolts - 2 - for tension spring - 1 - and remove tension spring.
- Bend two hooks - 3 - and hook onto cover.
- Unhook hook strip of cover and remove cover.







- Unhook clips - 3 - from upholstery wire of seatback cushion - 2 -.
- Bend clips using screwdriver and unhook upholstery wire.

Installing
Installation is done in reverse sequence, noting the following:

CAUTION:
- In order to ensure function of side airbag, when working on seatback use new upholstery clips and place them in the same place prior to removal.
- Use only seat covers released by Audi AG for side airbag. Note instructions for rear seat back installation.
