Read Measuring Value Block (Function 08)

NOTE: "Read Measuring Value Block" function 08 provides values as in "Basic Setting" function 04 with these exceptions. With function 04 the ECM carries out the following operations:
- Evaporative Emissions (EVAP) canister purge regulator valve is closed.
- Learning values for Oxygen Sensor (O2S) control are reestablished.

Procedure:
- Connect VAG 1551 (VAG 1552) Scan Tool (ST) and press buttons -0- and -1- to insert "Engine Electronics" address word 01.
- Check DTC memory.
^ There must be no malfunctions stored.
^ If necessary repair malfunction, erase DTC memory and test drive, stop engine and start again, test drive and, as a check, check DTC memory again.
- Let engine run at idle.

- Press buttons -0- and -8- to select "Read Measuring Block Value" function 08.

- Input desired display group number to continue signal checking.
Example: Press buttons -0-, -3- and -6- to input display group number 36 (Readiness Code).

When testing is complete:
- Press -> button to advance program sequence.
- Press buttons -0- and -6- to select "End Output" function 06, and press -Q- button to confirm input.
