Trunk/Liftgate Sensor/Switch (For Alarm): Service and Repair

Rear Lid Contact Switch, Removing and Installing

Removing:
- Remove rear lid lock.
- Disconnect electrical connector.







- With rear lid lock -1- removed, use flat-tip screwdriver to unclip plastic cover plate -3- on both rivets -4-.
- Move lever -2- in direction of arrow and flip plastic cover -3- toward rear.







- Carefully remove contact switch -3- from rear lid lock -1-.

Installing:
- Carefully insert contact switch in mounting in rear lid lock assembly.







- Flip plastic cover -2- again forward and lock with installed contact switch.
- Connect electrical connector.
- Install rear lid lock.
