I - Door Shell, Adjusting
- Front door trim removed

3371 adjustment gauge
NOTE: Rear door shell must be adjusted first.
- Dimension - a - = 3.5 - 0.5 mm
- Dimension - b - = 4.5 - 0.5 mm
- Dimension - c - = 3.5 - 0.5 mm
1.Gap Measurements
Upper Door Hinge
- Loosen nuts at hinge - 2 - and shift door together with hinge (elongated holes in hinge), or
- Loosen bolts at hinge - 2 - insert base plate - 3 -.
Tightening torque: 30 Nm (22 ft.lb.)
Lower Door Hinge
- Loosen nuts at hinge - 2 - and shift door together with hinge (elongated holes in hinge), or
- Loosen bolts at hinge - 2 - insert base plate - 3 -.
Tightening torque: 30 Nm (22 ft.lb.)
2.Adjusting To Body Contour
NOTE: Front portion of door is adjusted at hinge; rear portion of door is adjusted by moving striker.
Upper Door Hinge
- Loosen nuts at hinge - 2 - and shift door (elongated holes in hinge).
Tightening torque: 30 Nm (22 ft.lb.)
Lower Door Hinge
- Loosen nuts at hinge - 2 - and shift door (elongated holes in hinge).
Tightening torque: 30 Nm (22 ft.lb.)
Adjusting Door At Striker Plate
- Loosen Torx(R) bolts.
- Shift striker until door shell is flush with body.
- Tighten Torx(R) bolts to 16 Nm (12 ft.lb.).
