1 Upper Steering Column Trim
2 Bolt
- Tighten to, 5 Nm (44 inch lb)
3 Phillips-Head Screw
- Quantity: 2
- Tighten to, 1 Nm (9 inch lb)
4 Steering Column Adjustment Switch
5 Phillips-Head Screw
- Tighten to, 1 Nm (9 inch lb)
6 Phillips-Head Screw
- Quantity: 2
- Tighten to, 1 Nm (9 inch lb)
7 Lower Steering Column Trim
8 Phillips-Head Screw
- Quantity: 2
- Tighten to, 1 Nm (9 inch lb)
9 Bolt
- Tighten to, 2.5 Nm (23 inch lb)
10 Bolt
- Quantity: 2
- Tighten to, 6 Nm (53 inch lb)
- Torx T25
11 Steering Wheel With Coil Spring (Clockspring)
- Coil Spring (Clockspring) Removal/Installation, refer to Air Bags and Seat Belts
12 Nut
- Tighten to, 40 Nm (30 ft lb)
13 Airbag Unit

WARNING: Before the steering wheel is removed:
^ The ground strap (GND) must be disconnected from the battery.
^ The 1-pin connector for the power supply of the air bag system must be disconnected
^ The front wheels must be turned to the straight-ahead position.
^ Failure to observe this instruction will result in the coil spring being over-tensioned, which will cause failure of the airbag system.
