Safety Precautions For Road Testing With Use of Measuring and Test Equipment

To avoid personal injury or damage to electrical or electronic measuring and test equipment, observe the following:

- During a road test, always have measuring and test equipment operated by a second technician from the back seat. All occupants must wear safety belts.
- Secure all test equipment to avoid it from becoming dislodged in case of an accident.
- Switch ignition off when connecting or disconnecting measuring or test equipment.
- During testing, the control module may detect and store DTCs. Therefore it is important to check the DTC memory after all tests, to make corrections as necessary and to erase the DTC memory.
