Fuel Delivery Module and Fuel Level Senders, Remove/Install
WARNING!
Fire hazard. DO NOT smoke or work near heaters of have anything in the area that can ignite fuel.
1 - Sealing ring
- Always replace
- When installing, install seal (dry) in opening in fuel tank
2 - Fuel delivery module
- Removing and installing.
- Checking fuel pump (electrical test), refer to "Fuel Pump, Electrical Testing" Testing and Inspection
- Checking holding/residual pressure.
3 - Sealing plug
- Always replace
4 - O-ring
- Always replace
5 - Sender for fuel gauge - G
- Checking resistance values refer to "Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning Indicators/Fuel Gauge Sender/Testing and Inspection"Testing and Inspection
- Removing and installing
6 - Sealing washer
- Always replace
7 - Spring
8 - Flange for sender fuel gauge - G
- Remove and install using 2012A spanner.
- Turn clockwise to open; turn counterclockwise to close
9 - Banjo bolt-23 Nm
10 - Fuel return pipe
- From fuel injection system
- Clipped onto fuel tank
11 - Fuel supply pipe
- To fuel filter
- Clipped onto fuel tank
12 - Ring nut, 90 Nm
- Remove and install with special tool 3342
13 - O-ring
- Always replace
14 - Securing bolt, 20 Nm
15 - Ring nut, 60 Nm
- Remove and install with special tool 3217
16 - Sender -2- for fuel gauge -G169
- Checking resistance values, refer to "Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning Indicators/Fuel Gauge Sender/Testing and Inspection"Testing and Inspection
- Removing and installing
17 - O-Ring
- Always replace
18 - Seal ring
- Always replace
