Warnings and Safety Instructions For Lead Acid Batteries







1 - Pay attention to the notes on the battery in the Electrical Equipment Repair Manual and in the operator's manual.
2 - Danger of caustic burns:
Battery acid is very caustic, so wear protective gloves and eye protection.
Do not tilt the battery. Acid can come out of the vent openings.
3 - Fire, sparks, open light, and smoking are prohibited:
Avoid producing sparks when handling cables and electrical devices.
Avoid short circuits.
4 - Wear eye protection
5 - Keep children away from acid and batteries.
6 - Disposal:
Take old batteries to an approved collection point.
7 - Never dispose of old batteries in household trash!
8 - Danger of explosion:
Charging batteries produces a highly explosive oxygen/hydrogen gas mixture.
