Mounting Bracket, Removing and Installing

Removing suspension strut, Refer to Suspension Strut, Service and Repair.





^ Remove nuts-1 -to 5.





^ Remove nut -8-; remove mounting bracket -6- and brace -7-.

Pay special attention to the information when installing
^ Install threaded pins -1- and -5- with guide sleeve.
Make sure guide sleeves are properly seated when inserting mounting bracket.





Notes:
^ Brace item -7- was discontinued as of chassis no. 4DZ TN 006 420.
^ The information applies to vehicles still fitted with brace:

^ Brace no longer has to be installed.
^ In place of brace, bolt mounting bracket to bodywork, Refer to Fig. 1.
^ To do so, use bolt and washer of -item 8with new nut.

^ Tighten nuts -1. to -5- to 100 Nm (74 ft. lbs.).
