Power Steering Fluid Level Sensor/Switch: Service and Repair




Operation Switch At Multi-function Steering Wheel, Removing And Installing

Removing

- Disconnect battery ground (GND) strap.


NOTE: Always follow airbag safety precautions when working on airbag system components


- Unlatch steering column adjustment. Pull steering wheel as far out and up as possible.







- Remove airbag unit by removing bolts at left and right at steering wheel using a T30 Torx bit. Tightening torque: 6 Nm
- Carefully flip airbag unit forward.







- Disconnect connectors -1- and -2- at airbag unit.
- Remove airbag unit.
- Disconnect connector -3- and remove both T1O Torx screws at left or right operating switch.
- Remove operating switch toward front.

Installing:


NOTE: During installation, make sure that connecting wire of connector -3- is in guides and is not pinched.

- Install in reverse order of removal.
