Basic Setting (Function 04)




Basic Setting

Basic setting must be performed after replacing a headlight, axle sensor or the control module. Observe the following:
- Vehicle must be in a precisely defined load condition.

- Rock vehicle (move bumpers up and down several times, allowing vehicle to come to a rest on its own).

Perform basic setting:
- Press buttons -0- and -4-. (04 selects the "basic setting" function 4.

- Headlights are moved to set position.

Adjust headlights



- Headlights are now in the set position. Adjust headlights using headlight adjustment tool (e.g. VAS 5046). Basic setting 1 switches the adjustment mode off and enters "headlights not set" into DTC memory.

- Press -> button.

- Press -Q- button to confirm input.

Normal position learned



- The control module has now learned this position as the adjustment position. The entry in DTC memory ("Headlights not set") is erased and adjustment mode is re-initiated.
- Press -> button.
