Pedal Assembly, Overview






1. Butyl tape
^ Always replace
^ Acts as seal between pedal bracket and bulkhead
2. Pedal bracket
^ Removing and installing; Refer to pedal assembly
3. Insulation
^ Inserted in pedal bracket
4. Pipe for clutch master cylinder, 15 Nm
5. Accelerator pedal
^ Clip into pedal bracket
^ Delivered as replacement part with integrated bushing, bushing cannot be replaced
^ Removing and installing; Refer to pedal assembly
6. Circlip
^ Always replace
^ Install on shaft of mounting bracket
7. Circlip
^ Always replace
^ Install on pin
8. Brake pedal
^ Slide onto shaft of mounting bracket
^ To remove, mounting bracket must be loosened
^ Delivered as replacement part with integrated bushing, bushing cannot be replaced
^ Removing and installing; Refer to pedal assembly
9. Pin
^ Insert in fork head and brake pedal
10. Torsion spring
^ Press into pedal bracket until stop
11. Vent valve for cruise control system
12. Brake light switch
13. Hex bolt, 20 Nm
14. Clip
^ Always replace
^ Insert in bearing bracket
15. Mounting bracket
^ Removing and installing; Refer to pedal assembly
16. Clutch pedal
^ Secured via adjustment of clutch master cylinder
^ Slide onto shaft of bearing bracket
^ Can be removed and installed with pedal bracket installed.
17. Circlip
^ Always replace
^ Install on pin
18. Pin
^ Insert in clutch pedal and master cylinder
19. Cylinder bolts, 20 Nm
20. Clutch master cylinder
^ Replace if leaking
^ To remove, unscrew bearing bracket
^ Adjusting, Refer to Fig. 1
21. Gasket
^ Insert between pedal bracket and master cylinder
22. Supply hose
^ Install on master cylinder
23. Bearing bushing
^ Replace if damaged
24. Torsion spring
^ Do not lubricate
^ To remove, unscrew bearing bracket
25. Hexnut, tighten to 20 Nm.
^ Always replace

a = 114.5mm ± 0.5 mm
- To adjust, turn plastic bearing eyelet.

Note:
^ When measuring, plastic bearing eyelet must be at right angle to surface of clutch master cylinder.
^ If the clutch pedal does not return on its own with plastic bearing eyelet properly adjusted:

- There may be air in the hydraulic system
- The pedal may be stuck in the bearing.
