Climate control components, passenger compartment (m.y. 2000 >)






NOTE: Only components which are part of the change- over to center instrument cluster (m.y. 2000 >) are indicated.

- After performing repairs, always check and erase the DTC memory, perform basic setting and check coding of A/C control head -E87-.
- A/C system cooling performance A/C System Cooling Performance, Testing
- A/C system servicing.
- All components identified with an asterisk (*) are actuated during output Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM) [1][2]Output Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM) (Function 03)
- An electrical test is possible at all the components identified with two asterisks (**) A/C System, Electrical Test
- The air outlets to the windshield (defrost) can only be replaced if the instrument panel is removed. Separate instrument panel and instrument panel cross member.

1 - A/C kick-down switch -F46-
- No longer provided for vehicles with A/C control head -E87- with part number beginning with index letter
2 - A/C control head -E87-
3 - Instrument panel interior temperature sensor -G56-
- For vehicles with A/C control head -E87- with part number beginning with index letter "M"
12 - Auto-Check - System
- Displayed temperature is directly calculated in the instrument cluster in vehicles with A/C control head -E87- with part number beginning with index letter "M"
22 - Interior temperature sensor fan - V42-
- For vehicles with A/C control head -E87- with part number beginning with index letter "M".
