Leak Checking
Test requirement:
- Fuel tank drained.
WARNING!
Fire hazard. DO NOT smoke or work near heaters of have anything in the area that can ignite fuel.
- Fill fuel tank with 5 liters (1.1 Gallon) of gasoline.
- Carry out road test of at least 10 km (6 miles) (take spare canister of fuel).
- Leave vehicle standing overnight.
If the engine starts readily (without problem) after the vehicle has been standing for this period, this means the fuel delivery module is not leaking.
- Fill up fuel tank and road test vehicle for final test drive.
If the engine does not start:
- Check whether fuel delivery module has been installed properly, refer to "Fuel Delivery Module, Removing and Installing" Service and Repair
