Floor Covering, Removing and Installing
Removing
Removing and installing front left/right seat.
- Remove rear seat bench.
- Remove glove box.
- Remove driver's storage compartment.
- Remove side trim.
- Remove grab handles on center console.
- Remove rear section of center console.
- Remove footwell vent trim.
- Remove footwell vent.
- Unscrew plugs - 2 - (2x).
- Remove trim on steering column - 1 -.
- Unscrew accelerator pedal stop - 3 -.
- Remove trim for accelerator pedal stop - 4 -.
- Remove lower left and right A - pillar trim.
- Remove sill panel trim.
- Remove foot rest.
- On models with automatic transmission, remove locking cable at selector housing.
- Cut through cable ties - 2 - (2x) at wiring harness for front seats - 3 -
- Feed wiring harness - 3 - downward through cut - out - 1 -.
- Pull handbrake up as far as it will go.
- Cut through cable tie at center console - 1 -.
- Move gear shift/selector lever as far back as possible.
- Lift rear section of floor covering over handbrake lever.
- Pull floor covering backward and lift over gear shift/selector lever.
- Fold floor covering lengthwise and remove through door.
Installing
- Fold new floor covering lengthwise and place in vehicle.
NOTE: Floor covering is liable to tear at cut - outs.
- Push floor covering forward as far as it will go until hole patterns for accelerator pedal stop and foot rest are aligned.
- Press floor covering under handbrake lever.
- Carry out remainder of installation in reverse order of removal.
