Headlamp Switch: Service and Repair

CAUTION:
Before beginning repairs on the electrical system:
- Obtain the anti-theft radio security code.
- Switch the ignition off.
- Disconnect the battery Ground (GND) strap.
- After reconnecting battery, re-code and check operation of anti-theft radio. Also check operation of clock and power windows according to Owners's Manual


Light Switch, Removing And Installing

Removing







- Press in light switch -1- and at the same time turn it clockwise -2-.
- Hold the switch in this position and pull the light switch housing forward out of the instrument panel -3-.
- Disconnect electrical connections at switch.

Installing
- Reconnect all electrical connections.







- Press in light switch (arrow -1-) and at the same time turn it clockwise (arrow -2-) so that both retainers -a- are pushed in.
- With the switch in this position, press the light switch housing into its recess in the instrument panel (arrow -3-) so that it clicks into place.
