Engine Control Module: Testing and Inspection

Code Control Module (Function 07)

If control module does not indicate coding corresponding to vehicle, or if control module has been replaced, code it as follows.

Procedure
- Connect VAS5051 tester and select vehicle system "01 - Engine electronics". Ignition must remain switched on for this. Connecting VAS 5051 Scan Tool







Display on VAS5051:
- Select diagnostic function "07 - Code control module" in selection -1-.







Display on VAS5051:
1 - Enter code Max. input value = 32767
- Enter control module coding in button field -2- according to coding table.

Clarification of coding

Clarification Of Coding:

1) ULEV: Abbreviation for Ultra Low Emission Vehicle
2) ASR/ESP: Abbreviation for Anti-Slip Regulation/Electronic Stability Program

- Press -Q- button to confirm input.







Display on VAS5051:
1 - Coding will be performed
- Wait until the next indication appears on display.
