Input Values For Instrument Cluster Replacement
The following must always be observed when replacing the instrument cluster:
NOTE:
- Instrument cluster must always be coded.
- Note the values indicated in measuring value blocks 10 ... 15 on the VAG1551 scan tool before replacing.
- Note and input setting of odometer reading or input value of speedometer display in measured value block 10 (display field 4) before replacing
- In countries with speedometers calibrated in miles, adaptation of the Service Reminder Indicator (SRI) and of the trip odometer can be performed in miles.
Perform the following steps after replacing instrument cluster:
- Code Control Module.
and
- Carry out adaptation of fuel gauge (for altered fixed value)
- Input language version of driver information display
- Carry out adaptation of auxiliary heater
- Carry out adaptation of fuel gauge sender resistance range (for altered fixed value)
- Carry out adaptation for distance driven since service
- Carry out adaptation for time since service
- Adaptation for oil quality.
- Adaptation for the maximum mileage performance.
- Adaptation for maximum time interval.
- Adaptation for total consumption amount (only gasoline engine)
- Adaptation for powertrain data bus.
- Adaptation for comfort system data bus.
- Adaptation for information data bus.
