Transmission, Mounting In Holder

The following special tools and testing equipment are necessary for this work:

^ VW 313 - Holding fixture
^ VW 309 - Holding plate
^ 3311 - Lifting and holding device
^ VAG 1202A - Shop crane

Removing and installing transmission.

^ Remove or secure torque converter to prevent it from falling out of transmission.
^ Mount transmission on lifting and holding device 3311 and lift into holding fixture VW 313 using shop crane.

Note:

If the filled transmission is turned upside down in the holder, the bleeder holes for the transmission housing and final drive must be plugged.
