I - Door shell, adjusting
- Rear door trim removed
Special Tools And Equipment
3371 adjustment gauge
- Dimension - a - = 3.5 - 0.5 mm
- Dimension - b - = 4.5 - 0.5 mm
- Dimension - c - = 3.5 - 0.5 mm
1. Size of gap
Upper door hinge
- Loosen bolts - 4 - and shift door together with hinge - 3 - (elongated holes in B-pillar), or
- Loosen bolts - 5 - and insert base plate - 1 -.
Tightening torque: 30 Nm (22 ft.lb.)
Lower Door Hinge
- Loosen bolts - 3 - and shift door together with hinge - 2 - (elongated holes in B-pillar), or
- Loosen bolts - 4 - and insert base plate - 5 -.
Tightening torque: 30 Nm (22 ft.lb.)
2. Adjusting to body contour
NOTE: The front portion of the door is adjusted at the hinge, and the rear portion of the door is adjusted by moving the striker.
Upper Door Hinge
- Loosen bolts at hinge - 5 - and shift door (elongated holes in hinge).
Tightening torque: 30 Nm (22 ft.lb.)
Lower Door Hinge
- Loosen bolts - 4 - and shift door (elongated holes in hinge).
Tightening torque: 30 Nm (22 ft.lb.)
Adjusting Door At Striker Plate
- Loosen Torx(R) bolts.
- Shift striker until door shell is flush with body.
- Tighten Torx(R) bolts to 16 Nm (12 ft.lb.).
