Seatback Heating Element, Replacing

CAUTION: Note safety specifications when working on airbag.

- Remove front seat.
- Remove seatback cover.

Seatback heating element (pushed into cover), removing and installing







- Seatback heating element - 2 - pulled out of seatback cover.
- Slide locally manufactured hook - 1 - through opening in seat cover.
- Hook in new seat heating element in hooks and pull in.
- Push back excess material of heat element after pulling it through.

NOTE:
- Make sure that heating element is not pulled through bent or crunched.
- Excess material of seatback heater must not be installed in crushed condition during installation of seat cover.

Seatback Heating Element (bonded), Removing And Installing

- Cut electrical wiring of old seatback heating element as far as possible.







- Bond new seatback heating element (hatched surface) bonded on the old seat heating element - 2 -.

CAUTION: For vehicles with side airbag note instructions for seat installation.
