Note:
^ Install complete repair kit when servicing.
^ New brake calipers are filed with brake fluid and are prebled.
^ Apply a thin coat of brake cylinder paste G 052 150A2 to brake cylinders, pistons and seals.





1. Self locking bolts, 35 Nm
^ Always replace
^ When loosening and tightening, counterhold on guide pin
2. Brake caliper housing with parking brake cable lever
^ Replace if leaking at parking brake cable lever
^ Prebleed caliper housing after repairing, Refer to Fig. 6
3. Bleeder valve
4. Dust cap
^ Install onto bleeder valve
5. Seal
^ Note different versions
^ Use 3409 wedge to remove, Refer to Fig. 3
6. Piston with automatic adjustment
^ Unscrewing from brake caliper housing, Refer to Fig. 1
^ Screwing into brake caliper housing, Refer to Fig. 5
^ Piston diameter.
7. Guide pens
^ Grease before pulling on protective cap
8. Protective cap
^ Install so that outer sealing lip goes over piston, refer to Fig. 2
^ Install so that inner sealing lip enters groove in brake caliper housing, Refer to Fig. 4
9. Protective cap
^ Pull onto brake carrier and guide pin
10. Brake carrier with guide pins and protective cap
^ Supplied as preassembled replacement part with sufficient grease on guide pins
^ If protective caps or guide pins are damaged, install repair kit. Use grease packet supplied to lubricate guide pins

Note: Hold piston in front of caliper housing for this procedure.

Press powerfully on piston while screwing.

Note: Outer sealing lip of protective cap will then engage in piston groove.





Fig. 6 Pre-bleeding brake calmer
- Open bleeder valve and fill with brake fluid using standard bleeder bottle until brake fluid flows out of threaded hole (end of brake hose) without bubbles. Close bleeder screw.

Note: Position brake caliper as shown during pre-bleed procedure.
