Heated Seats, Overview







1 - Cover with surface pattern (normal seat)

NOTE:
- Covers must be replaced for seat heating elements which are sewn into the cover, see parts catalog for application.
- Seat heating elements that are sewn and glued into the cover must not be installed in a seat under any circumstances.
- Glued backrest heating element - A - up to VIN 4BW 092 308 for leather or 4BW 101 414 for imitation leather / fabric.
- Remove seat heating element.







- Backrest heating element sewn into cover - A - as of VIN 4BW 092 309 for leather or 4BW 101 415 for imitation leather / fabric.
- Replace cover
- Seat heating element glued - B - up to VIN 4BW 092 308 for leather or 4BW101 414 for imitation leather / fabric.
- Remove seat heating element
- Seat heating element sewn into cover - B - as of VIN 4BW 092 309 for leather or 4BW 101415 for imitation leather / fabric.
- Replace cover







- Side bolster heater of seat surface - C - is always glued.
- Remove seat heating element
2 - Cover with vertical ribbing (normal seat)
- Remove seat heating element
- Remove backrest heating element
3 - Cover with horizontal ribbing (sport seat)
- Remove seat heating element
- Remove backrest heating element
