Channel 40 (Distance Driven Since Service)
ALLDATA Editor Note: By resetting the SRI on Adaptation Channel 02, Channels 40 and 41 are automatically set to "0", meaning the following procedure would only be required if a different value is needed.
Adaptation (function 10)

Initiating "Adaptation" function 10

Adaptation Channel 40 -Distance Driven Since Service
This function is used to input the distance in miles since the last service.
Display on VAS5051:
- Select function "40" in button field -2- For "Adaptation channel 40" and press Q button to confirm input.
Display on VAS5051:
1 - Channel 40 read and test
2 - Actual value in spec. in 100 mile increments.
3 - Keypad - only direct input via the keypad is possible
4 - The sliding bar is positioned on the current adaptation value, e.g. 8
Distance in miles since last service is indicated (here For example 8 represents 800 miles)
Note:
- Input of current specified value is only possible in units of 100 miles, therefore indication in display also changes in 100 mile units.
- Change adaptation value via direct input using keypad, not with the sliding bar.
- Enter 5-digit adaptation value. Insert zeros in front.
Example :
Desired input value: For example, 1000 miles
Keypad input: 00010
Note: The "Save" button does not appear if an incorrect value was entered!
Display on VAS5051 after performed adaptation:
1 - Channel 40 Value 10 stored
- End function "10 - Adaptation" by pressing <- button.
NOTE: After changing an adaptation value or ending an adaptation channel, "10 - Adaptation" function must be selected again before selecting another adaptation channel!
