Condition





Unnecessary Engine Control Module (ECM) and/or Accelerator Pedal Replacement due to incorrect Value in Adaptation Channel 060 of Instrument Panel (IP) Cluster

The following Diagnostic Trouble Codes may be stored:

P1676 (18084)

Electronic Power Control Warning Lamp -K132- Electr. Malfunction in circuit

P1690 (18098)

Malfunction Indicator Light -K83- Electr. Malfunction in circuit

Electronic Power Control (EPC) light may also be illuminated.

Cause:

Diagnostic Trouble Codes mentioned above and an EPC light may be caused by an incorrect value in adaptation channel 060 of the Instrument Cluster.

Service

Check and correct (if necessary) the value in Adaptation Channel 060 of the Instrument Cluster as follows:

- Connect VAS 5051/5052 Diagnostic tool.

- Select "Vehicle Self Diagnosis".





- Select vehicle system "17 - Dash panel insert"





- Select diagnosis function 10 - Adaption





- Input "60" for Adaptation Channel 60.
