Window Regulator And Door Window, Removing And Installing







1 - Door component carrier
2 - Window

Removing:
- Run window down to bottom position.
- Remove screws - 3 -.
- Lift window out of mount

Installing:
- Install in reverse order of removal.

3 - Bolts (2x)
- 6.5 Nm (58 in.lb)
4 - Protective grommet
- Must always remain in place to prevent chafing of bowden cables







5 - Window regulator

Removing:
- Remove door component carrier.
- Drill heads off pop rivets - 6 -.

Installing:
- Install pop rivets - 6 -.

- Bowden cables must not contact impact bar (noise build-up)

CAUTION: Bowden cable with protective grommet - 4 - must always face door carrier and not be rotated 180 degrees toward door trim.

6 - Hex bolt (6x)
- Install using special tool VAG1753
- Installation order: a; b; c; d; e; and f.
7 - Window regulator motor
8 - Bolts (3x)
- 6.5 Nm (58 in.lb)







9 - Speed nuts (2x)
- Speed nuts must be installed before installing window regulator
