CAUTION!
Before working on the electrical system:
- Determine the correct coding for the anti-theft radio.
- Disconnect the battery Ground (GND) strap.


NOTE: After reconnecting the battery be sure to reactivate the radio, clock, power windows and engine.


Cautions regarding wiring harness and connector repairs


CAUTION!
- Before working on the electrical system disconnect the battery ground (GND) strap.
- Before starting the repair, establish the cause of the malfunction such as sharp edges on body parts, faulty components, corrosion, etc and make necessary repairs.
- Do not repair wiring for the airbag system as well as shielded wiring such as for engine speed sensor and knock sensors.
- Find additional information covering removal and installation of individual components.
- Always repair wiring with yellow wire.
- Every yellow wire and every area covered with yellow electrical tape identifies a repair.
- After completion of the repair, check the system and check DTC memory.
