Removing ribbed belt

Note: Before removing the ribbed belt, mark the direction of rotation using chalk or a felt marker pen. If the belt rotates in the wrong direction when it is reinstalled, this can cause breakage. Ensure that the belt is properly seated in the pulleys when installing.




- To loosen ribbed belt turn tensioning element in direction of arrow.
- Remove ribbed belt.




The tensioning element can be locked in position with a suitable punch (4.5 mm diameter, approximately 55 mm long). Conrod support 3090 can also be used.
